B i o g r a p h y

Hanna was born in Budapest, Hungary. She began her musical education at the age of 7, majoring in violin at the Saint Stephen Music School and Conservatory in Budapest. Ten years later she was accepted to the same school’s Voice Program where she studied with Judit Adrigán.

 

In 2007 she won the „Award of Excellence” at the International Zoltán Kodály Piano and Voice Competition.

Hanna holds a B.Mus degree in Vocal Performance from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University where she studied in Prof. Sharon Rostorf-Zamir's class.

She had the great luck to work in masterclasses with the renowned artists and teachers Julia Hamari, Graham Johnson, Patricia McCaffrey, Marjana Lipovšek, John Norris and Eva Mei.

 

In 2014 Hanna sang the role of “Dryade” in the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music’s production of Ariadne auf  Naxos by Richard Strauss. In the same year she took part in the concert performance of Mozart’s Magic Flute singing the Third Lady with the BMSM Symphony Orchestra conducted by Yian Xu. 

 

In June, 2015 Hanna sang the alto solo of Mozart’s Requiem with the Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble conducted by Avner Itai. Later that year in July she performed the role of “Prince Orlovsky” in the BMSM’s production of Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss. 

 

During the 2015/2016 season Hanna was a member at the Meitar Opera Studio at the New Israeli Opera where her roles included the Witch from Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, Marcellina from Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and others. In the same season Hanna was awarded by the Eli Leon Scholarship for her achievements at the Israeli Opera. 

 

In July, 2016 Hanna performed the role of the Third Lady in Mozart’s Magic Flute at Teatro Pavone in Perugia, Italy conducted by Uri Segal. 

 

In March, 2017 she sang as alto ripieno with the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, conducted by Andrew Parrott in Bach’s B minor Mass.

In the 2016/2017 season Hanna was invited to perform with the Belcanto Opera Ensemble in Hungary in various opera and operetta programs. Since 2018 Hanna is a member of the Ensemble.

In July 2017 Hanna was chosen by Maestro Zubin Mehta to sing a short solo in Puccini's Turandot with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra. 

​

In addition to the above mentioned roles Hanna’s repertoire includes extensive number of Lieder by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály as well as the role of Orfeo from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice.
